  1. Just found your blog via your feature in Tiens (the online SW France magazine).
    The world as we know it changes totally to the south and west of you - I'm referring of course to the Pays Basque! How about a post on Basque cuisine? There's an old joke that sniffy Parisian food writers like to tell about Basque cuisine - that the only kitchen implement required for it is a tin-opener.. OK, there is some truth in that (grrr!) but nevertheless, I rate it v highly.

    I will post on Basque Food when I know more! I am just learning about it myself and I agree with you: it is a much ignored cuisine. I read an article about the food in San Sebastian that sounded extraordinary (shades of El Bulli). What is your favourite dish?
